A Message from Carol Ann Bartz,

I have learned so much from my son Zac.

I have learned compassion.

He opened my heart.

Every day was his best day.

–Zachary was the most amazing boy you would ever meet.

–He was kind, gentle, positive, faithful, and loving.

–He always had an infectious smile on his face.

–He greeted everyone as if they were the most important person.

–Zac never complained through all the years he fought this disease.

–He never said, “I can’t”.

–He was the true definition of what it means to be brave.

–He lived his life with dignity and grace and inspired others to do the same.

And Zac saw Jesus in everybody. When they say there are saints among us, I truly believe that my son Zac was one of those saints. Not only did he give me many gifts, he gave many gifts to our family, to friends and to our community. I live to tell Zac’s story, and I have something important to say.

You never really know how much you can love someone until you have a child of your own. CAROL ANN BARTZ

RAVE REVIEWS FOR NEW BOOK THE BELIEVER ON AMAZON.COM

For Carol Ann, life was almost perfect until she began to suspect something wasn't quite right with her youngest son, Zachary, who was just two years old.

Call it mother's intuition or maybe it was the knowledge of being a nurse that led her on a frustrating search to find the answers to what she feared the most. Her nightmare turned into reality, and Zachary was diagnosed with neurofibromatosis.

When the disorder manifested into a fight for Zachary's life, Carol Ann and her husband, Nathan, struggled to find a cure in time. Despite overcoming many odds, without medical explanation, Zachary became an inspiration beyond belief as he strengthened the faith of a community and far beyond.

It wasn't until Carol Ann and Nathan were forced to make the ultimate decision that they would come to realize the extent of what Zachary was capable of accomplishing despite his incredible suffering while teaching thousands a valuable lesson in the meaning of life.
